Aside from the traditional beer flavor, such as hop bitterness and malt sweetness, beer can be brewed with many other ingredients to give it a variety of different flavors. This week’s question asks you to name your favorite flavored beer. If you don’t see your favorite listed, write in a vote with your comment.

I may have chosen winter spice because its, well, winter. I would have given a fruit flavor more consideration if it was 100 degrees outside. Also, you forgot the awesome flavor of coffee – always lovely in a stout. It competes as my second favorite because caffeine and alcohol in the same beverage just has to be a good thing.
Funny you mention coffee flavored beer. My next homebrew is going to be a coffee stout. I just picked up some West End Kenya AA for my next batch, to be brewed sometime next week.
I voted for “winter spice,” but I also love the Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar. It’s nutty goodness!
Well, after a week in the polls, the winter beers have it with 6 votes. As Meg pointed out, it may be biased due to the season, but who doesn’t like cinnamon and nutmeg? Raspberry and chocolate made strong showings with 4 votes each.
We also had a few haters out there who like their beer pure according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Hey, I can’t argue with 500 years of tradition.
And by the way, my answer was chocolate. Rogue Chocolate Stout is amazing…
